At the heart of the matter is the fact that natural diamonds and lab-grown diamonds are fundamentally different. What drives the value of natural diamonds is their rarity and identity, two aspects that their lab-grown counterparts do not possess.

Natural diamonds are forged under extreme pressure and heat, deep within the Earth’s crust, over a span of millions to billions of years. They form when carbon atoms are subjected to intense pressure at temperatures of over 1,000 degrees Celsius, creating the crystal lattice structure that gives diamonds their incredible hardness and brilliance.
